Shopify has redesigned its Admin panel to make the store management experience simpler and more functional. The update is not limited to changes in colors and icons; the positioning of frequently used tools and page layouts in store management have also been reconsidered.
A Simpler Admin Experience
In the new design, the left menu can be collapsed. This expands the workspace during store management while also reducing visual clutter on the screen.
Frequently used tools such as search, notifications, and store selection have also been moved to a more accessible position within the left menu. In page layouts, a new arrangement focused on making important information and actions easier to find also stands out.

Sidekick Is Now More Accessible
One of the highlights of the update is the redesigned access to Shopify Sidekick. Sidekick is now accessible from the bottom of every page.
While a small chat area is available for quick questions, more comprehensive tasks can be handled through the side panel. This allows users to get support from Sidekick during store management without having to navigate to a different area.
The User Experience in Store Management Takes Center Stage
The Admin panel is one of the primary workspaces used repeatedly throughout the day by store owners and their teams. Therefore, navigation, access to information, and the time required to complete tasks are important parts of daily operations.
Shopify’s new design emphasizes an approach focused on less visual clutter, simpler navigation, and more direct access to the tools that are needed.
The real impact of the new Admin panel will become clearer as it is used for longer periods in store management processes. However, the initial changes indicate that Shopify is focusing on making the management experience simpler and more accessible.
